An overview of robots that introduces some of its fundamental concepts, background material on hardware, control (from both biological and engineering perspectives), software architecture, and robot intelligence. Then introducees a broad range of implementations and applications, including locomotion (wheeled, legged, flying, swimming, and crawling robots), manipulation (both arms and hands), localization, navigation, and mapping.

■評価基準と評価方法 |
Graduate students in this classes are asked to make oral presentations using PowerPoint about topics in this subject. Oral presentations in English are preferable, but in Japanese are acceptable. The presentation is regarded as a test of accomplishment level. Therefore, the results are decided on the basis of the oral presentations. Presentation: 50%,Presentation Material: 20%,Comment: 30%
