Course Philosophy and Objectives
The course aims to acquire specialized knowledge, practical skills, design abilities, analytical skills, broad education, and ethical considerations for engineers in the field of intelligent information based on a foundation of logical thinking and natural science knowledge. Additionally, it aims to deeply understand the impact and mission of intelligent information technology on society, humans, and the environment. The course aims to cultivate engineers who can actively contribute to society from an international perspective through cutting-edge technologies in intelligence, information, and systems.
Desired Student Profile
The course seeks students who possess the following qualities:
- A strong desire and purpose to study engineering, with a solid foundation of fundamental knowledge acquired in high school.
- The ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills, think critically, make judgments, and express ideas effectively.
- The capability to take initiative and exert effort independently to achieve the best possible results in various tasks.
Required Abilities and Aptitudes for Each Entrance Examination

General Entrance Examination (First and Second Regular Admission) Candidates should demonstrate sufficient fundamental knowledge in all subjects, with particular excellence in mathematics and physics.

AO Entrance Examination Candidates should have sufficient fundamental knowledge and excellent communication skills, along with strong motivation for learning in various specialized fields. They should have a proactive approach towards achieving their goals and actively engaging in activities.

Recommendation Examination II Candidates should possess sufficient fundamental knowledge, outstanding academic records in high school, and an eager attitude towards learning in various specialized fields.

Special Admission for Working Professionals Candidates should have graduated from high school and have at least three years of work experience, showing a strong determination to acquire knowledge in various specialized fields.

Private International Student Admission Candidates without Japanese nationality should have completed a 12-year school education in a foreign country, demonstrating sufficient Japanese language proficiency to understand lectures in Japanese. They should also have a strong willingness to acquire knowledge in various specialized fields.

Third-Year Special Admission Transfer Candidates should have graduated from a university or be expected to graduate in the current year. They should have also completed at least two years of study at another university (excluding leave of absence) and acquired 62 credits or more. Alternatively, candidates should have studied at least two years (excluding leave of absence) and are expected to acquire 62 credits or more by the end of the current year.

Selection Method: University Entrance Examination Center Test, Individual Academic Aptitude Test (Individual Academic Aptitude Test is not conducted in the second round).

Selection Criteria: Ranking based on the total score. However, candidates with a score of 0 in any subject will be considered unsuccessful.

Selection Method: First Selection (Document Screening) and Second Selection (Individual Interview).

Selection Criteria: In the first selection, submitted documents are scored, and candidates are ranked based on the total score. In the second selection, candidates undergo a two-stage interview (first stage assesses motivation, experience, and basic academic ability; second stage assesses oral presentation and question and answer session) and are ranked based on the scores obtained.
