Security Policy - Ryukyu University Faculty of Engineering, Intelligent Information Course / Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Information Engineering

P2P Usage

The use of P2P file-sharing software is strictly prohibited in the Intelligent Information Course.

Web Security

Please exercise caution regarding the permissions and access rights of files on the web server.

Virtual Machines (VMs)

Be mindful of the access privileges when using VMs. By default, SSH access is restricted to the Intelligent Information Course’s internal network. It is highly recommended to use RSA keys for SSH access.

IP Registration

The IP addresses assigned within the Intelligent Information Course are global IPs. Consequently, there is a constant risk of potential attacks. Please remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.

Edy Card

The Edy card is required for entering each classroom. Note that essential equipment for the course is available in the classrooms, so be cautious about any loss or damage.

Password Policy

The Intelligent Information Course recommends passwords to be at least 8 characters long and include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols with at least one occurrence of each. For servers within the university and VM rentals, using RSA keys is strongly recommended.
