Registration Information Update / System Usage Request

System Usage Request

To apply for system usage, please use the respective forms below:

IP Request and DNS Registration

To participate in the network, you need to obtain an IP address allocated by the course. Please make your IP allocation request through Akatsuki’s page. For detailed application procedures, please refer to the IP Address Application Method. By registering your machine’s information here, you will receive an IP and be automatically registered in the DNS. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses will be reset annually at the end of each fiscal year. Note that DNS servers operated in individual fixed address segments and flat segments are excluded from the reset.

Password Change

Changes to course passwords and other information can be made through the Information Processing Center’s Registration Information Update page (restricted to on-campus access only). For more details, please visit the following page: Information Processing Center (External Link)

LDAP Information Update

You can update your LDAP information through Akatsuki’s page. Here you can change the following four pieces of information and register your Edy card key as well.

  • Login Shell: Choose between tcsh, bash, and zsh, which are used when logging into on-campus servers such as www, repo, and smtp.

  • Affiliation VLAN: Pertains to 4th-year and higher students. You can select which VLAN to belong to in the network. 1st to 3rd-year students should keep the initial setting of VLAN 56 (Flat Zone).

  • Edy Card Key Registration: You can register up to three Edy IDs. Edy registration information will be reset annually at the end of each fiscal year. ※ Please allow for a delay from registration to card key activation. ※ If a door does not open, please specify the non-opening door and contact the Server Team (sys-admin@ie.u-ryukyu.ac.jp).
